THREE vehicles, including a coach, were involved in a crash in Ryde this afternoon (Monday).

At 12.23pm, police were called to the scene at the junction of Garfield Road and Victoria Street.

They said the collision involved three vehicles ­— a silver Nissan Micra, a white Ford Fiesta and a single decker coach.

Significant traffic delays were reported in the area.

No injuries have been reported at present, and officers have been dispatched to the scene.

Police are asking road users to avoid the area while the incident is cleared.

UPDATE: Police have since confirmed the coach was not involved in the collision. 

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Initially, we thought all three had been involved, but it’s now been established that the coach was just behind the two vehicles."
