THE latest data from Public Health England show a further 111 confirmed Covid cases for the Isle of Wight today (Monday).

This latest update brings the total number of confirmed cases for the Island to 14,800.

Yesterday there were 127 confirmed cases, with 135 the day before.

The age group most affected is ten to 14 year olds, which has a rolling rate 2729.0.

The rate for the 15 to 19 year old age group is 938.1.

On September 25, the Island’s 40 to 44 year old age group had a rolling rate of 484.5.

Now, one month later, the age group has the third-highest rolling rate on the Island, almost doubling to 895.6, according to the latest data.

The Island’s rolling rate, while five days behind, has risen slightly from yesterday.

In the seven days to October 19, it was 556.6

In the most recent data, in the seven days to October 20, that figure was 562.2.

There are now 200 Islanders accessing The Isle of Wight Long Covid Clinic, where patients are only permitted access once they have had symptoms for more than 12 weeks.

Since the start of the pandemic, 8,809,774 people have tested positive for Covid in the UK.
