West Wight Men In Sheds wants to raise £3,500 to fund its plan to buy an old shipping container, before transforming it into a machine shop.
The Totland Bay charity, which runs a workshop and meeting place, tackles loneliness and isolation.
Members work on projects in support of the local community, as well as making their own items, while some just turn up for the tea and biscuits!
