Voluntary and community organisations providing education and learning opportunities for adults on the Island can now bid for grant funding of up to £30,000.

Island groups can apply to the Isle of Wight Council’s Adult Community Learning Service, along with organisations that use funding to deliver services to widen access to adult learning opportunities.

The funding must go to help people who are disadvantaged and least likely to participate in learning.

It needs to improve skills for further education, training or employment and develop stronger communities and maths.

Then contact Rob Brindley, Adult Community Learning Service commissioner, on (01983) 817280, or email robert.brindley@iow.gov.uk, for an application form.

The deadline for receipt of completed applications is 3pm, Friday July 1.
