NEW data has revealed YouTube's most popular and highest-earning home renovation and improvement accounts, with a former Islander coming in at tenth.

Research conducted by Shed Plans assessed YouTube’s most popular home renovation and improvement channels to create the ranking and analysed Influencer Marketing Calculator to determine how much each channel can potentially earn per video.

Coming in at tenth on the list is former Islander Hermione Chantal, 30, whose channel offers her own DIY journey.

Hermione gives her subscribers a range of content such as where to find hidden home gems in charity shops, abstract wall art ideas that are budget-friendly and how-to style your home videos.

The research shows that in the past 90 days, Hermione has had 116 engagements per video with fans on her YouTube channel, showing her appreciation for her nearly 500,000 subscribers.

The data estimates that she receives £373 per video, and since the channel’s creation, her content has seen over 54 million views.

After being nominated for a Shorty Award in 2019 for the Best in House and Home content, Hermione’s channel has seen massive growth.

Hermione lived in a Victorian home on the Island, which she bought in 2018 and described as a ‘fixer upper’, sharing the restoration of the house on her channel.

In November 2021, Hermione left the Island to move to London, securing a new job not long after in the physics industry – splitting time between YouTube and her new profession.
