Will Riley has wanted to skate for Disney since he was eight years old.
Now, aged 20, he is set to follow his dream and fly out to join the cast of Disney on Ice in the USA.
When the Isle of Wight rink at Ryde closed, Will didn't give up on his dream and continued to travel to Gosport to skate.
Next week, he leaves for the USA to begin training for the Disney on Ice shows.
SCROLL DOWN TO SEE WILL SKATING
Will skated competitively until going to university and represented the Isle of Wight and Great Britain at solo and synchro competition with teams such as Wight Crystals.
His coach Terri Smith said: "Nothing is impossible!
"His dedication and resilience has continued along with many of his synchro friends and other IW skaters.
"I’m very impressed with their positive attitudes to continue and not let anything get in way of their dreams and ambition,
"He is following in the footsteps of other IW-born skaters such as myself, Georgia Webb, Matthew Kershaw , Archie Bicknell and Keelin Scholes."
Terri and Will thanked Wightlink for the ongoing support to him and other skaters over the past few years.
