A BURST water main is reportedly causing damage to the main Nettlestone road this afternoon (Tuesday, August 9).
Eddington Road, at Priory Cottages in Nettlestone, has been closed following a leak just after Caws Avenue.
Residents said the leak is causing the road to bulge and is unsafe to drive over.
Low water pressure is being reported in the area.
Southern Vectis services have been affected by the incident.
Routes 8, Downs Breezer & Coaster - Eddington Rd closed @ Priory Cottages, Nettlestone for emergency works to water leak. Buses will divert from St Helens via Rowborough Corner, Beaper Shute & Marlborough Rd to turn for Seaview - This diversion operates in both directions.
