A BRITISH boxing legend took time out of his busy schedule to pay Isle of Wight firefighters a visit.
Former two-division world champion, Nigel Benn, popped to Freshwater Fire Station yesterday evening (Tuesday) for a meet and greet and a Q&A session.
Nigel came to the Isle of Wight with his undefeated son, Conor (21-0); to train ahead of a grudge match against Chris Eubank Jr later this year.
Conor has held the WBA Continental welterweight title since 2018.
Nigel — who held world championships in two weight classes during his time in the ring — fought Chris Eubank twice during his career, and now their sons carry on the rivalry.
"Nigel was keen to meet the firefighters based in the area where he and his son are training," said a spokesperson for Freshwater Fire Station.
"It gave the us the opportunity to hear all about the boxing legend's career."
The pair were previously spotted at The Hut in Colwell.
Conor and Chris Eubank Jr are set to battle it out in the ring on October 8, at the O2 arena in London.
