CONQUERING the Isle of Wight Marathon on Sunday and raising lots of money for Ability Dogs for Young People is the aim of Team Tuesday.
The team consists of 14 runners from the Love Running Tuesday Nighters group, of which seven have never run a marathon before!
The more experienced team members are: Jo Randall, Debbie Radestock, Eloise Radestock, Kellie Forster, Sarah Crabb, Naovy Degamo and Carolyn Littleton.
Team Tuesday's Jane Karabasic, Rosemary Smy, Ross McMahon, Rob Fenton, Sarah Bishop, Sarah Occomore and Lauren Coopey will be running their very first marathon.
They all started training in January with their focus on the Isle of Wight Marathon, organised by Ryde Harriers, this weekend.
Team Tuesday members have run through the wind and rain during the winter and scorching hot temperatures of this summer.
The team decided to make this a very special run by also raising money for Ability Dogs for Young People at Sandown.
The amount they have raising currently stands at £2,700, and with more money still to come in it will go over the £3,000 mark, which will pay for nearly half the cost of training a puppy.
This picture (top) was taken before the group's longest run of 21 miles when Ali, a foster mum from Ability Dogs for Young People brought Louie to meet them.
Louie has since completed his training and is with his new owner.
