I HAVE actually just received my first reply to 14 emails sent to Isle of Wight MP Bob Seely (albeit a standard letter).

My letter was asking simply, if he would be supporting NHS staff, if they were to strike?
His reply was, as expected.

He said he doesn’t support people striking and believes that NHS staff are receiving a fair pay.

I have replied to him asking this: "So Bob Seely, are you basically saying that you believe it is ok that many nurses are having to use foodbanks?

"Are you basically saying, that it’s ok for MPs’ pay to have increased by 28 per cent since 2010, yet pay for NHS staff has increased, in cash terms, by a mere eight per cent in the same period?"

This represents a significant real terms pay “cut” for NHS staff.

I await his reply.
