AN exhibition featuring four Isle of Wight artists is coming to Quarr Abbey this week.

Solent Art Painters – a newly-formed art group – will be showcasing their work this Easter weekend, from April 6 to April 11, with the exception of Good Friday.

The group comprises Elise Barnard, Simonne Mason, Meryel Boyd and Carol Way.

They each have their own unique style but share a common interest in Isle of Wight landscapes.

Elise uses watercolour and gouache, and is a dedicated plein air painter, painting outdoors several times a week, all year round.

Carol is an enthusiastic painter of flowers and Island landscapes, while Simonne paints in watercolours, oil and ink, and says her best adventures are en plein air.

Simonne has painted extensively and showcased her work in France, and the exhibition will include some of her paintings from across the sea.

Meryel paints in oils and watercolours and her exhibition paintings will include work from her extensive travels.

The exhibition is open between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
