A lot has changed in the Isle of Wight's retail and hospitality sector in recent years.
Whether it's businesses opening, or ones closing down, you will have undoubtedly noticed a difference — especially in Island high streets.
And with a number of businesses up for sale or rent, more change could soon be on the horizon.
Here's a list of just seven current and former shops, pubs and restaurants on the market — some you may already know about, but others may be news to you.
WHITE HART INN, HAVENSTREET
Situated in Havenstreet, the White Hart Inn has been up for sale since July 2021.
The pub, which remains open, has circa 60 covers inside, plus a large garden with circa 70 covers.
It also offers a three-bedroom accommodation for owners to live, and a large customer car park which holds 30 vehicles.
On the market with Gully Howard, the pub's owners are inviting offers in the region of £115,000 for the leasehold, fixtures, fittings and goodwill.
FORMER CHOCOLATE ISLAND, GODSHILL
The building which was formerly home to Chocolate Island in Godshill remains on the market.
The Grade II listed thatched cottage also comes with substantial outbuildings to the rear.
Gully Howard states the business could come with the property, if required. Or, it could be converted for residential use, with the appropriate consent.
Offers in the region of £545,000 are invited for the freehold of the properties.
FORMER POUNDSTRETCHER, NEWPORT
In Newport sits the former Poundstretcher and Pet Hut store — one of several empty shops in the town.
The Poundstretcher chain entered administration in 2020, as the County Press reported.
Sat empty since it closed, the building is arranged over two floors.
It may well lend itself to being split or potentially to form an indoor market or similar, Gully Howard has said.
It is available by way of lease or for sale by freehold. Price is available upon application.

OCEAN VIEW FISH AND CHIPS, VENTNOR
A popular fish and chip shop in Ventnor is on the market, due to the retirement of the current owners, who have been at the helm for 12 years.
Offers are invited in the region of £450,000 for the freehold building, business goodwill, fixtures and fittings.
As well as the chippy, which is still open, the property boasts a three-bedroom family home with a decked garden — and, of course, stunning views.
It's said the business benefits from a significant rise in tourism due to its location, which is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.
FORMER JOJO'S HAIRDRESSERS, SCHOOL GREEN ROAD, FRESHWATER
Sixth on the list is the former home JoJo's unisex hairdressers. The business is now based on The Broadway, Totland.
There is an opportunity to purchase its old building, in Freshwater.
As well as a ground floor commercial premises, there is also a separately accessed three-bedroom flat above.
Offers in the region of £195,000 for the freehold, are being invited.
FORMER ICELAND, NEWPORT
Only recently closed, the former Iceland store on South Street, Newport is already on the market through Scotcher and Co.
It was purpose-built as a supermarket, with first floor storage. It also benefits from a rear service yard.
The store waved goodbye to customers for the final time on March 25, as the County Press reported.
A rental guide is available on application, Scotcher and Co said.
FORMER WILLIAM HILL BUILDING, RYDE
Formerly home to William Hill, the building in St Thomas' Square, Ryde remains empty and on the market.
Before becoming a betting shop, it was home to Johnsons the cleaners for many years.
It is based adjacent to Natwest bank, and is surrounded by many prominent eateries and retailers.
It is available by way of a new lease.
It may also be available for sale, by separate negotiation.
