Carnival fever returns to the Isle of Wight today (Saturday), as marching bands, fancy dress and outstanding creativity hit the streets of Sandown.

Sandham Gardens will host all day family-friendly carnival entertainment, including special guests Derek Sandy and magicians Stevo and Kai.

This morning, the children’s carnival will head off from 11am along the Esplanade and Culver Parade, lead by the Sandown Carnival Queens float.

It will finish at Sandham Gardens, where judging will take place and prizes will be presented.
