A Ryde man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after another man was injured following an alleged incident at a popular Isle of Wight pub last night (Saturday, September 9).
Police were called at around 8.30pm to reports of a man being aggressive in The Castle Inn pub on Newport High Street.
Officers arrived and arrested a 42-year-old man from Ryde on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The man remains in police custody at this time.
A spokesperson from the force said another man suffered minor injuries at the pub.
