Isle of Wight County Press: Damage has been done to flowers in planters outside Boots in Newport.
It's believed they were destroyed overnight.

Islanders have flocked to social media to condemn the "disgusting" behaviour.

Some are suggesting the damage could have been caused by wildlife, such as foxes.

The County Press has contacted Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary for a comment.
