Police are still searching for missing Bembridge woman Gillian Burns this morning (Tuesday) following a missing person appeal yesterday.

The 64-year-old, described by police as ‘high risk’, was last seen at her home address at 10pm on Sunday (September 17).

She is believed to have travelled to the Culver Down area, where search teams, including Bembridge lifeboats and Island Coastguard Rescue Teams, have been focussing their efforts.

WightSAR, the Island's volunteer search and rescue team, has also been assisting, alongside officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Gillian is described as white, about 5ft 2in tall and medium length ginger hair.

She is believed to be wearing glasses, dark blue jeans, black trainers and a dark blue short-length raincoat.

A police spokesperson told the County Press there are no updates at the moment, and the investigation is still ongoing.
