A superyacht once owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has been spotted off the Isle of Wight.
Octopus has been enjoying some time in Cowes and was escorted up the River Medina by the Solent Cruises team yesterday (Saturday).
Octopus is one of the world’s largest yachts, built by Lurssen Yachts.
It is now believed to be owned by Swedish billionaire Roger Samuelsson, since 2021, and is available for charter, which may explain its appearance in The Solent.
Anyone interested in hiring it will have to budget for around $2.2 million per week, and it is available through Camper and Nicholson
Octopus is known for its luxurious features, including a helicopter hangar, on-board submarine, and crew of 42 for 12 guests, ensuring the very best standards of hospitality.
The yacht is estimated to be worth a whopping $285 million.
