Shanklin properties for auction

Among the lots is the Curraghmore Hotel in Shanklin, with a guide price of between £800,000 and £850,000 and planning permission for partial demotion and the construction of eight two-bedroom apartments, alongside a smaller boutique hotel.

It is being sold jointly with Hose Rhodes Dickson and boasts sea views over Sandown Bay.

It is being sold with a majority freehold, plus a strip of land which is subject to £5 per year ground rent on a 960-year lease, from 1915.

Meanwhile, a double-width former shop unit in Regent Street, currently let to a tech company, is guided at £90,000-plus and will be be sold under the terms of a new 125-year lease. 

Totland properties for auction

In Totland Bay, just off the junction of Avenue Road, The Broadway and Colwell Road, a freehold four-bedroom house at Hurst Point View has a guide price of £450,000-plus.

Clive Emson Auctioneers says the site has an estimated value of £700,000, when the bungalow is completed and it is selling the site alongside BCM.

Ryde properties for auction

In Ryde, a mixed residential and commercial property on the High Street, has a guide price of £175,000-plus.

Currently let to a charity and also on the High Street, a retail unit in the pedestrianised area, has a guide price of £85,000 - £95,000 and is held under the terms of a 999-year lease from 1853.

Both are being sold alongside Scotcher & Co.

Meanwhile, in Queens Road, a two-bedroom, lower ground floor flat, with parking and private garden, has a guide price of £120,000 - £130,000.

With a freehold guide price of £470,000 - £500,000, four acres, a stone barn for conversion, plus the chance to build a new dwelling, is for sale at Whitelane Farm, Bowcombe Road.

The auctioneer said: “Some may prefer to complete only one of the proposed new dwellings and utilise the whole site for a splendid single dwelling. Both options are of course subject to any required consents being obtainable.”
