Southampton football legend Matt Le Tissier took to the Medina Theatre stage last Saturday (November 18) for a real-life insight into the behind the scenes of his career.

An Evening with Matt Le Tissier - or as he is affectionately dubbed by Saints fans, 'Le God' - was put together by Seamless Entertainment and hosted by sports and entertainment broadcaster Kenzie Benali, daughter of fellow Southampton icon Franny Benali. 

Following a VIP meet-and-greet, audience members took to their seats for an unscripted interview delving into the Southampton FC legend's footballing career and life as a pundit and panellist following his retirement from the game.

VIP tickets to the event sold out back in July, and on the night, a packed out Medina Theatre enjoyed the memorable and special evening.

Speaking about the evening, Matt said: “Pete and Becky [Seamless Entertainment directors] made sure everything about the event ran smoothly and were incredibly professional in everything they did and made my time on the Island very enjoyable, the host Kenzie and the crowd that came along were all excellent and contributed greatly to a lovely evening.”

Kenzie added: "It was a pleasure to host an evening with Matt Le Tissier at Medina Theatre for Seamless Entertainment.

"Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves, as did I. It's a lovely theatre and the event was extremely well organised by Pete and Becky."

Pete Moore and Rebecca Gregory, who made the show possible, said: "Seamless Entertainment would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the evening, it was a fantastic night to remember with Matt Le Tissier and brilliantly hosted by Kenzie Benali, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our future events.

On the night, a silent auction raised £1036 for Wessex Cancer Support on the Isle of Wight.

Next up on the Seamless calendar, Medina Theatre will welcome An Evening with Coronation Street stars Mikey North and Ryan Prescott (known for playing Gary Windass and Ryan Connor) on April 19, 2024. Tickets are available on the Medina Theatre website.
