A BUMPER and debris from a car was left at the scene of a crash which left the front of a popular Isle of Wight fish and chip shop damaged.

An accident happened at the Ocean View chippy on the corner of where Newport Road, Ocean View Road and Gills Cliff Road meet last night (Friday) or during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

The collision with the steps at the entry to to the premises was badly damaged, which left broken masonry and car debris, including the vehicle's bumper, at the scene.

There is also debris from the accident in the road, so be careful when driving in the vicinity.
