The first wave of acts for this year's Cowes Fringe on the Isle of Wight has been announced.

Returning for its second year, the festival takes place in May and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of music and performances.

Among the line-up are a broad range of Island and mainland talent, including Broadway and West End star, Kerry Ellis.

The renowned vocalist who had starring roles in We Will Rock You, Wicked, Les Miserables, Cats, and Miss Saigon, has also performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Variety Performance, the Laurence Olivier Awards, and the Queen’s Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace.

Island favourites Brando Party Band will also appear at Cowes Fringe. Known for their high-energy performances, the ensemble have a repertoire spanning various genres including pop, rock, funk, and soul.

Godfather of dance music, DJ Gordon Mac, will be sure to draw in the crowds. He created the Kiss FM brand, Britain’s first dance music station.

Virtuoso guitarist Jonjan Kavlakoglu, who is described as ‘James Brown meets Rodrigo y Gabriela’, will also perform, as will Sean Logan.

The gifted singer-songwriter was a finalist in the hit C4 show The Piano, which also featured the Island's very own Jay Eatwell.

Described as a masterful magician, Neil Kelso - an award-winning pianist and member of The Magic Circle - will being hoping to leave the audience spellbound.
