A landslip has closed a popular footpath on an Isle of Wight coastal route.

Part of the BB10, in Bembridge, has collapsed and been shut for safety.

Islander Andrew Hatch took a picture of the damage while out walking his dog, Dotty.

The landslip has led to the Isle of Wight Council closing a section of the footpath.

It is shut between Forelands Field Road (Crab and Lobster end of the path) and the BB16 at Whitecliff Bay holiday park.

Paths BB14 and BB15, that lead down to BB10, are also closed.

The council's rights of way team said this is because there is no pedestrian access from these to the BB10 path.
