A TRADITIONAL Isle of Wight village fair is making a return this summer.

The Shorwell Midsummer Fair is back on Saturday, June 15, and runs between 1.30pm and 5pm.

For the second consecutive year, the traditional village fair will be held in the grounds of Wolverton Manor, in Shorwell.

Many attractions and stalls will be run by local people and organisations, and all proceeds go to the local community.

This year, there will be a tea tent and arena events including a falconry display, a dog demonstration and live music.

There will be free parking adjacent to the venue and a low admission price, with children under 16 entering for free.

One of the last surviving "original" fairs on the Island, the Shorwell Midsummer Fair promises family entertainment and a memorable afternoon for all.
