MEMBERS of the Isle of Wight branch of animal welfare charity the RSPCA are supporting the Great British Spring Clean with their third litter pick this month, tomorrow (Saturday).

RSPCA volunteers and staff have already completed two hour-long spring cleans this month — at Bembridge beach on March 16 and at Appley Beach and park last Saturday, March 23.

Tomorrow, the team will take on the litter picking challenge along Sandown Beach, meeting opposite the Driftwood beach bar, at 11.30am.

A spokesperson for the charity's Island branch said: "The environment belongs to everyone! That’s why this year, we’re supporting the Great British Spring Clean, run by Keep Britain Tidy

"Everyone is welcome to join our staff and volunteers! There will be limited pickers, gloves and bin hoops available.

"There is also a 'Litter Bingo' for children to take part in too. Help us collect as much rubbish as possible!

"All locations are dog friendly this time of year, so we would love to see your furry friends too!"
