COASTGUARD rescue services have been called out to hunt for a boat which is understood to have been involved in a collision.
Solent Coastguard received multiple 999 calls just before 9.20pm this evening (Saturday), to report a small, motorised vessel, possibly colliding with the breakwater at East Cowes.

Coastguard rescue teams from Bembridge and Ventnor, together with Cowes RNLI lifeboat and a coastguard helicopter from Lee-on-the-Solent have all been sent.
The helicopter has been conducting a sweep of the Cowes and East Cowes area, as well as a section of the river Medina, towards Whippingham.
