A popular Isle of Wight hotel has received a top TripAdvisor award for the tenth year running.

The Daish’s Hotel, on Shanklin High Street, has been recognised with a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for consistently delivering positive experiences.

The hotel building has been welcoming guests for hundreds of years after previously being used as an 18th-century coaching inn.

Part of the UK-based family-owned coach holiday provider Daish’s Holidays, Shanklin was the company’s first hotel and remains its flagship after extensive refurbishment completed in 2015.

Inside, visitors can find 72 bedrooms, a bar and dancefloor, a coffee shop and a guest lounge.

Paul Harper, commercial director at Daish’s Holidays, said: “This award is a testament to the commitment and dedication of our team, who strive to ensure each guest receives the best possible service and experience to ensure a memorable stay with us.

“We would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their experiences and feedback.”

The TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award is based on reviews and ratings collected during the past 12 months.
