HEAVY rain, thunder and possibly hail could be on its way to the Isle of Wight today (Wednesday).
A yellow weather warning has been issued for scattered showers and thunderstorms by the national Met Office.
It is forecast from around 8am this morning until 7pm tonight.
The Met Office said: "While many places will remain dry, scattered showers are expected through Wednesday.
"Where these develop, they are likely to be heavy at times, with a risk of hail and thunder.
"A few places may see 10-20mm within an hour and, perhaps, 30-40mm in the space of two to three hours."
Currently, the Isle of Wight Met Service has not issued a weather warning.
