Winds of up to 50mph could hit parts of the Isle of Wight from this evening (Thursday), the Isle of Wight Met Service has warned.
An advisory for strong winds has been issued by the local forecaster.
It warns that an area of low pressure, moving in from the Atlantic, could bring some very unsettled conditions.
"South to Southwesterly gusts of up to 40mph are expected inland and away from windward coasts", the met service said.
"On the more exposed coasts and hills we are likely to see gusts of up to 50mph at times."
The advisory comes into effect from 6pm tonight (Thursday).
It will last until 2am on Friday, June 14.
