SPIRITS are high for an Isle of Wight business after three of its products won medals in an international competition.

Island Spirits Distillery — the makers of Isle of Wight Gin and Rocken End Rum — celebrate seeing three of its spirits clinch awards at this year's International Wine and Spirit Competition.

The distillery's signature tipple, Island Spirit Gin, was awarded a silver medal — just a month after winning a bronze medal at the international London Spirits Awards.

Also, Quarr Abbey Gin, made exclusively for Quarr Abbey using only their own botanical ingredients, won a bronze medal, while Rocken End Dark Spiced Rum picked up bronze, just a few months after its launch.

The International Wine and Spirit Competition is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious competitions in the wine and spirits industry.

Cris Jackman, the distiller at Godshill-based Island Spirits Distillery, was thrilled by the company's successes.

"Winning at the International Wine and Spirit Competition is a true testament to the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle we produce," he said.

"We are thrilled to see our spirits recognised on such an esteemed global platform.

"These awards not only reinforce our passion for distilling, but also motivate us to continue innovating and elevating our craft."
