POLICE on the Isle of Wight have closed a section of the Military Road following a crash.

The accident, involving just a white van, happened at the Grange Chine Viaduct, near Brighstone, this morning (Friday).

Police were called at 7.19am.

The force's roads policing unit closed the road while they deal with the crash.

"Please expect it to be closed for around one hour. A diversion will be made through Grange Road," the police posted on Facebook.

There are no injuries reported.
