WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures:

BRADING: Marshcombe Shute Bridge will shut during structure inspections, between its junctions with Brading footpath 69 and Yaverland Road, over one shift sometime between Monday and Friday, July 19. An alternative route will be signposted.

LAKE: Longwood Lane will close during drainage CCTV works, between its junctions with Lower Road and the Sandown to Newport cycle track, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

BROOK: Brook Village Road will shut during lining works, between its junctions with Military Road and Brook Shute, over two shifts sometime between Monday and Friday, July 19. An alternative route will be signposted.

NINGWOOD: Main Road will close during lining works, between its junctions with Elm Lane and Station Road, over one shift sometime Monday and Saturday, July 20. An alternative route will be signposted.

ST HELENS: Lower Green Road will shut during excavation and investigative works, between its junctions with Mill Road and Newlands, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

BINSTEAD: Greenway will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Verwood Drive and The Mall, over one shift sometime Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

SHANKLIN: Clarendon Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Spring Gardens and Regent Street, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

VENTNOR: Old Shute will close during footpath repair works, between its junctions with Newport Road and Ocean View Road, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

TOTLAND: Court Road will shut during iron repair works, between its junctions with Upper Princes Road and Freshwater Court access road, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

NITON: Kingates Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Chatfield Road and Newport Road, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.
