Enquiries are underway after a vehicle 'failed to stop' following a two-vehicle crash on the Isle of Wight’s dual-carriageway yesterday morning (Saturday, July 13).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Medina Way in Newport.

The collision happened just before 11am near St Mary’s junction, formally St Mary’s roundabout. 



It is understood that the collision involved a black van and a car towing a caravan.

A police spokesperson confirmed that one of the vehicles is reported to have failed to stop at the scene.

An investigation into the incident has been launched, and enquiries are being made.
