ISLE of Wight police made an arrest as part of a blackmail investigation yesterday morning (Monday).
At around 7am, officers stopped a vehicle on Medina Way in Newport.
This was as part of an ongoing investigation, and a 28-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of blackmail.
He remains in police custody.
