The main Sandown to Shanklin Road has been temporarily blocked by police following a road traffic incident.
An eyewitness said it looked like a two-car crash, just past Skew Bridge, just before midnight.
Route 3 Southern Vectis buses are temporarily diverting down Cemetery Road and Green Lane.

The road has re-opened this morning and traffic is flowing.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed officers were called to the scene at around 11.20pm.
They were responding to a report of a collision involving two cars on Sandown Road.
No injuries have been reported.
