Suited and booted, and ready to celebrate their time at college together, pupils arrived in various ways at The Pavilion at Newclose County Cricket Ground in Newport on Thursday, July 18.

Modes of transport included a St John’s Ambulance, US Army Willys Jeep, a huge Bartlett’s Service Station Foden Truck and even a horse called Higgins.

They then walked up through the setting of the cricket grounds up to a marque and onto the red carpet, where they were greeted with mocktails.

Students found a seat and got settled before enjoying an amazing buffet provided by Valentino’s.

Awards were presented to students for a variety of fun categories, voted for by the students, before Luca and Imogen were crowned Prom King and Queen.

Year 11 took to the dancefloor and lit up the room with their dance moves and singing.

A spokesperson from Carisbrooke College said: “The students all looked glamorous and it was a perfect evening, in a beautiful setting, for the most wonderful group of young people. We couldn’t be any more proud of them!”
