The Hoosiers are coming to perform at a popular Isle of Wight bar this September, it has been announced.

Strings Bar and Venue have confirmed that the iconic band will take to the stage in Newport on Friday, September 27.

A major part of the soundtrack of the noughties, The Hoosiers have played some colossal gigs and will take time out of their packed schedule to visit the Island and play a stripped-back set at Strings.

Formed in Indianapolis, The Hoosiers are a pop-rock/indie pop group famed for songs such as Goodbye Mr A, Worried About Ray, Cops & Robbers and Choices.

Comprised of Irwin Sparkes and Alan Sharland, formerly also Tony Byrne, Tom Easey, Martin Skarendahl and Sam Swallow, the duo continue to perform across the globe.

A spokesperson from Strings Bar and Venue said: “This may be the most impressive singalong we'll ever have in Strings!

“Just imagine everybody singing along to Goodbye Mr A. So, many hits!

“Tickets are on sale NOW, but we don't think they'll last too long. Be quick!”
