A holidaymaker has been rescued after drifting out to sea two miles off a popular Isle of Wight beach on a small inflatable dinghy.
The holidaymaker, a man in his 40s, said he was shouting for help and waving to a passing plane, but no one could hear him.

Fortunately, a member of the public spotted him and called 999, alerting the coastguard and lifeguard teams to the incident.
Sandown Beach Lifeguards, on a quad bike and a jet ski, were the first on the scene at Shanklin Beach.
The lifeguard unit quickly reached the holidaymaker and his inflatable, and brought him back to shore.
The man was passed into the care of Coastguard Rescue Teams.
