Bank holiday festivities hit St Helens on August 28.
St Helens Carnival, returning for 2024, featured floats inspired by schools, tearooms and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Celebrations began in the morning with stalls on the village green and funfair.

The tug-of-war competition was the main sporting event of the afternoon.
In the evening, the procession saw floats, cars and marching bands join the parade through the village.
St Helen's Primary School achieved a first place prize.
