ENGINEERS have been called out to restore power in an Isle of Wight seaside town following an outage this evening (Thursday, September 5).
The power cut has affected homes and businesses in the PO37 7DS, PO37 7DT and PO37 7PH post code areas of Shanklin, between Landguard Road and Sandy Lane.
This was the second power cut on the Isle of Wight today.

It was reported to Scottish and Southern Electricity (SSE) at 5.21pm.
Landguard Manor and Landguard Holiday Park are in the area affected.
Engineers are en route to fix the problem — due to arrive on site at around 6.30pm.
The cause is a fault on the underground network, say SSE, which aims to restore power by 12.30am tomorrow morning (Friday), depending on the severity of the problem.
