An open meeting is being hosted to allow residents to discuss regeneration.
Shanklin Town Council is hosting a meeting at Shanklin Theatre next Tuesday (September 17) to introduce an approved regeneration plan for the three Bay councils.
The meeting is to explain how residents can be involved with the plans, with opportunities for residents to become volunteers and members of working groups.
The theatre will open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
The plan considers mechanisms for delivering large infrastructure projects, such as coastal paths, and an Environment Agency update on the sea wall and groyne restoration.
The meeting will also cover the impact of the closure of Leeson Road and flooding in the centre of Shanklin.
Mayor of Shanklin Sara Sheath said: "Whilst Shanklin Town Council budgets tens of thousands of pounds every year for town improvements, our community is too small to meet the criteria for major government regeneration grants.
"The Bay as a whole is the largest settlement on the Island.
"By developing a Bay Plan we not only benefit from pooling resources to address issues affecting the whole Bay area, but we also are large enough to meet the criteria to allow us to apply for Central Government Regeneration Grants."
