Six more cats have been obtained by RSPCA Isle of Wight after the charity successfully prosecuted their former owner for neglect, the charity has said.
A post on RSPCA Isle of Wight's Facebook page says the cats are currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, five cats from the same household have now been rehomed. They were signed over in court in August, after Neil Andrew Cain, 62, was sentenced in a case involving prolonged neglect in a commercial context.
The kittens were in the care of the charity for over a year while the case was resolved.
The kittens have since found new homes, with two boys Buster and Toffee and two girls, Dot and Dinky, going as pairs.
The last cat has also found a new home.
Cain, of The Broadway, Totland Bay, was to blame when two kittens had to have their eyes removed and one had to be put to sleep by a vet because of the severity of ill health.
He was sentenced to 12 weeks custody, suspended for 12 months, and banned from keeping animals for five years.
He was also ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work and must pay a £154 victim surcharge.
In a statement, RSPCA Isle of Wight said: "It’s with thanks to our animal rescue officer, our vets, our cattery team, our adopters and our cattery volunteers - that these five kittens can now start their new happy healthy lives!
"Sadly, six more cats from this household have been obtained and are currently undergoing rehabilitation.
"These cats will be looking for foster homes and adopters in the near future."
