WIGHTLINK is inviting sports, arts and environmental organisations from across the Isle of Wight to apply for help with cross-Solent travel.
The sponsorship scheme, Wightlink in the Community, will open for applications throughout October.
The ferry company has been aiding local groups since 1987, beginning with Ryde Rowing Club, which remains under sponsorship.
Wightlink’s sponsorship focuses on groups that enhance Islanders' quality of life, especially the young.
A variety of sports are included, as well as arts groups representing dance, drama, carnival, and music.

As part of Wightlink’s sustainability commitment, environmental organisations on the Isle of Wight, which would gain from cross-Solent travel support, are also invited to apply for sponsorship.
Successful applicants will join a network of Island groups, with the added advantage of receiving ferry travel support.
They are also invited to an annual celebration event.

Wightlink's chief executive, Katy Taylor, said: "We are very proud to play a part in supporting groups which are creating opportunities for young Islanders.
"We understand the difference it makes to groups that regularly travel off the Island to train, compete or perform, and so look forward to receiving this year’s applications."
Full details of the scheme and an application form can be found on Wightlink’s sponsorship page.
