A CARE home on the Isle of Wight has received a national accolade for its 'gold standard' end of life care.
The Limes Residential Care Home, Bembridge, was presented the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award, at a ceremony held in London on Friday, September 27.
The national awards ceremony recognised the UK's best healthcare and social care providers, for their care of people in their final year of life.

The Limes was one of 140 care homes and healthcare organisations across the UK to receive the award.
Eleni Dove, a registered manager of The Limes, said: "We are so proud to have received this award for a second time and achieved platinum status, for our sustained commitment to the principles of the GSF.
"This is fantastic recognition for our incredible team of staff.
"From the moment someone walks through our door, we want them to live the most fulfilling life they can."

She attended the awards with co-manager Joanna Dewen.
Julie Armstrong-Wilson, GSF's chief operating officer, said: "Congratulations to all who achieved accreditation this year.
"The standard of care and compassionate cultures observed is truly inspiring, showing a commitment to ensuring people receive the right care at the right time, which has a positive impact on the people cared for and their families."
