A famed poet, musician and comedian is performing on the Isle of Wight next month.
John Hegley, known for his appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Wogan and BBC Radio 4, will grace the stage at Newport's Quay Arts on Friday November 8.
His show, An American in Luton, will see John perform unreleased material alongside some of his back catalogue.
Tickets are available via the Quay Arts website.
The show is devised for adults but is suitable for those aged 9 and over.
John balances his poetry alongside a musical career, appearing regularly at the Glastonbury Festival and Isle of Wight Festival.
He recently appeared at the IW Story Festival with illustrator Neal Layton.
Beginning his career 40 years ago, John has had experiences ranging from recording John Peel Sessions with his band The Popticians to starring in a revival of The Pyjama Game, directed by Simon Callow.
He has also had numerous books published, including I am a Poetato, My Dog is a Carrot and Visions of the Bone Idol (Poems about Dogs and Glasses).
Audience members can expect audience interaction, references to Luton Town Football Club, and even being asked to write poetry themselves.
John even devised a poem persuading Islanders to buy tickets to the show.
He said: "I return to the Isle of Wight rocks.
"I am glad from my specs to my socks.
"Though, I will not give vent to my American accent,
"which I used in the musical The Pyjama Game,
"and The Telegraph commented that it never left Liverpool docks."
Quay Arts will also host a one-man show of Frankenstein on Thursday November 7.
Frankenstein (On a Budget) will bring a mix of comedy and horror, with the solitary actor playing 25 characters throughout the show.
The show has been touring the UK.
