Emergency teams rushed to the scene of a crash on a main Isle of Wight road on the outskirts of Newport this afternoon (Sunday, October 13).
Emergency services, including ambulance and police teams, were called to Forest Road, near the notorious Vittlefields Cross, following reports of a collision.
The incident, which blocked the main road for a time, involved a silver Mercedes.
It is understood that a second vehicle, a Skoda, may have also been involved.
The Mercedes was recovered from the roadside shortly before 3pm by a team from Bartletts Service Station.

Southern Vectis' number seven service between Newport and Yarmouth via Shalfleet was diverted through Elm Lane and Calbourne, but has since resumed it's usual route.
Emergency teams have left the scene and the road is fully open.
Hampshire and IW Constabulary have been approached for a statement.
