FROM the Elton biopic to a Royal Opera House masterclass ­— there's plenty of variety in the Island's arthouse offerings this week.

Today, Christ Church Sandown's family film night returns with a screening of Wonder Park (PG) at 6.30pm.

The animation-adventure film, starring Mila Kunis and Jennifer Garner, tells the story of an amusement park, where the imagination of a wildly creative girl comes to life.

Tomorrow, and Wednesday, Ventnor Arts Club is showing a live satellite broadcast of Fleabag, at 7pm.

Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fleabag is the hilarious, award-winning, one-woman show that inspired the BBC’s hit television series of the same name.

On Monday, the arts club is hosting Time in Pause ­— Piano Miniatures, at 7.30pm. It is a meditation on a collection of miniature piano pieces from different eras in musical history, showcasing the vast imagination of composers capturing moments in time woven together by silence.

On Tuesday, the club is screening a live satellite broadcast from the Royal Opera House ­— Don Giovanni ­— at 7pm.

Kasper Holten’s visually striking production accentuates the beauty and invention of Mozart’s dazzling tragicomedy.

On Thursday, the club is screening Rocketman (15), at 7.30pm, an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John's breakthrough years.

The musical-drama stars Taron Egerton as Elton, joined by Jamie Bell of Billy Elliot and Jurassic World's Bryce Dallas Howard.
