ISLE of Wight-born goalkeepers, Simon and Stuart Moore, played in the Carabao Cup last night (Wednesday).

Simon Moore turned out for Premier League Sheffield United against Division 1 outfit, Sunderland, at Bramall Lane.

Simon, 29, conceded the game's only goal — a 25-yard strike by Max Power into the top corner, one of only two shots on target by the Black Cats during the tie.

His brother, Stuart, had a much more glamourous tie.

The Merseysiders won 2-0, with goals by man-of-the-match Milner and Ki-Jana Hoever.

Stuart, who earned his place after pulling off a man-of-the-match performance against Southend United in round two of the Carabao Cup, conceded a howler to gift Liverpool their opener.

The Islander appeared to have Milner's fierce strike covered, but the ball bounced off his chest and squirmed into the net, in front of a club record 28,521 attendance at Stadium MK.

Simon and Stuart both attended Newchurch Primary School and Sandown High School.
