ACCURATELY hitting chalk discs and paper targets was the challenge thrown down to Newport (Isle of Wight) and District Rifle Club shooters in their annual Two Gun Challenge.
Ian Lockhart proved to be the top marksman, with Charles Watson second and David Atkin, the club chairman, third, at the club's Godshill range.
To enter the competition, entrants must own both a pistol calibre rifle and a rimfire rifle.
The challenge is to engage several chalk discs and paper targets at 20 yards, against the clock, in multiple stages, with both firearms used.
