One of our Isle of Wight sides is in action tonight (Tuesday, November 21) as the Yachtsmen travel to Alresford, with both sides aiming to progress into the last eight of the Wessex League Cup.
Cowes Sports, who sit 10th in the Wessex League Premier Division, head into the match following a 3-1 league win over Hythe and Dibden at Westwood Park on Saturday.
The Yachtsmen’s previous League Cup fixture saw them clash with Moneyfields in the second round earlier this month, coming away as 6-1 winners.
The Islanders’ opponents, Alresford Town, currently find themselves in an early Division One promotion race in fourth, with their last outing resulting in a 0-0 draw at home to Romsey Town.
Fellow Island sides Newport and East Cowes Vics have already been knocked out of the competition, Port in the first round and Vics in the second.
Kick-off at Arlebury Park is at 7.45pm.
