The Isle of Wight bowls season got off to a cracking start for the ladies earlier this month.
A total of 105 bowlers competed in Shanklin for new trophy, The President’s Cup.
The competition comprised three games of nine-end and two bowl triples, with each club well represented.
As well as bowling, each club raised money for the president’s charity, amassing just under £400 on the day.
The overall winners were Anne Bernard, Sam Williams and Leen Hampshire from Ryde Marina.
